The following is an account of the blessings of dynamic meditation experienced during a Chiseong in the southern region of Gyeonggi province As Told By (Translated by Junseok Park and Maila Flurey and Stuart Smallwood))
I used to be so healthy that I didn’t need a single medical checkup in a year. However, one day I began to feel ill and I thought it was just because I stayed out too long in the cold. On July 5th, I ran a fever followed by a severe headache and an upset stomach. I was in severe pain the whole night.
The excruciating pain lasted for two days. It was so bad that I couldn’t go to work and I was eventually rushed to the emergency room at St. Vincent’s Hospital in the evening of July 7th.
The doctors couldn’t figure out the cause of my terrible headache and high fever, which ran as high as 40 degrees Celsius. They suspected that I might have caught the MERS virus or meningitis. I ended up being quarantined and received treatment that Wednesday. My fever remained so high that they decided to inject me with antibiotics without knowing what was going on. The fever dropped a little, but it was still fluctuating and my headaches were so bad that I couldn’t sleep, not even for a single moment, for 10 days. My weight even dropped 6kg.
While I struggled with the hope of a speedy recovery, I heard the news that His Holiness the Jongdosanim would soon visit Suwon Dojang for a session of dynamic meditation. I got three hours permission to attend the Gunryeong that day. Before the discourse, I sat down in a chair in a male resident room with a bad headache and felt totally drained. It got worse as the lecture started and I wished I had just stayed in the hospital. I moved to a seat next to a corner because I felt cold. The personnel for the event asked me to fill a vacant seat in the front row, so I ended up joining the dynamic meditation.
At first, I found it difficult to perform dynamic meditation because I was feeling tired. I continued to move around so I could get rid of any lurking demons of illness and put dynamic meditation energy into my body. After a few minutes passed, I saw a shimmering light before me and it felt warm. At that point, I felt a mysterious force come to me and my headache and fever miraculously disappeared. The energy was so high that I felt like a crouching leopard on a hunt and a courageous general who took up arms to fight on the battlefield.
When the dynamic meditation was over, I was feeling better and seemed to be in good shape. That’s why I came to the podium to express my gratitude and share my exhilaration with people.
That night, I returned to the hospital and experienced none of the symptoms that I had before. I was back to normal but the high levels of inflammation still remained, so I was not allowed to leave the hospital. The following day the inflammation subsided and I was able to go home on Saturday. I really appreciate the blessings of dynamic meditation and I have not been ill since then.
