A core precept of Jeung San Do. It maintains that life is created, sustained, and advanced through countless interactions within nature. In this process, benevolence, which is inherent in all relationships, is given and received. On a grand scale, heaven and earth’s acts of benevolence produce and sustain life. Benevolence exists in society, as well as in various relationships, such as those between ancestors and descendants, family members, teachers and students, friends, etc. Thus, requital of benevolence is both a state of mind and the act of requiting benevolence.
